Travelling solo, off my guard, I had to follow this calling from the wild
What?! My brother just called to say that someone mailed him my letter! Someone picked it up off the street. :)
Why do I think that’s so cool?
I must be really lame.
I’m often taking messages at work. Listen, here’s the deal: If you leave a message for anyone, anywhere, at any time, speak slowly, clearly, spell your name and say your phone number twice! It will save people like me a lot of grief.
Okay, now to the point - I’ve noticed that people are very difficult to understand and their names are hard to spell. There aren’t as many Mike Smiths as you might think… And if one calls me, I bet his name is Myke Smithe. After being reminded twice to ask for spelling from callers, I’m finally beginning to remember. I told my boss that I’m not good with the phone.
The last couple of days, I’ve been on again/off again having to hire a car to pick up a visiting lawyer. This has caused me a lot of anxiety. It’s like booking plane tickets… which is one of my jobs. Come to think of it, I’m not very good at a lot of my duties. Man. In fact, I think that my heart stops every time the phone rings. But, of course, only Edward could be sure.
At least I can proofread, organize, and keep the kitchen clean!
Yes, I may mention Edward a lot from now on.
And, my brother has a respectable blog. >> Go to it.
